Your orbit: train with your people
Training with others keeps you coming back. Your friends and people from your gym orbit around you: they light up when they've trained today and wear a green dot when they're training right now.
Example users: this is how it looks in the app.
How it works
It's how people find you. Change it in your profile.
Type 3 letters of their @username and follow them.
On «Today», going round you.
On every workout they finish. And they on yours.
The week's leaderboard
Under your orbit, this week's ranking by workouts, with the days each person went. You always show up, even in sixth place, and GymOrbita tells you how far you are from overtaking the next one. If you're first, it tells you that too. 🚀
Who's training now and what they did
See who's training at this moment, with which routine and how many sets so far, and the latest workouts your friends finished: when, how many sets and whether they beat a record. Try it: tap the 🔥 on a workout.
Kudos 🔥
One tap on a finished workout's flame and its owner gets a notification: «gave you kudos». Tap again to take it back. On your own workout you see the faces of who gave you kudos. It's the quickest way to cheer someone on without typing a word.
Following someone
Search for them by @username (3 letters is enough) and tap «Follow». They don't have to accept: they'll see you started following them, and you'll see their workouts as far as their settings allow. Your orbit has three tabs: following, followers and search. If you don't want someone following you, remove them from your followers and they're not told.
Type at least 3 letters of their @username.
Profiles with their last month
Tap anyone in your orbit to see their profile: rank, gym, followers and following, their weekly streak, the days they trained in the last 30, their latest workouts with their kudos, their recent records with the weight before and the routines they've shared with the community. Always as far as they choose to show.
Notifications
Find out what's happening in your orbit without checking:
- Kudos on your workouts.
- New followers.
- Finished workouts from people you follow.
- GymBro requests.
Your notifications, your way
In your notification settings you switch off social ones and your follows' workouts separately, and set quiet hours so nothing bothers you at night.
GymBros: your training partner
A GymBro is more than someone you follow: it's mutual. Invite them with a link or find them by @username. Share routines (you both edit them and each keeps their own weights) and get a week-by-week comparison: workouts, volume and streak, on one chart for both of you. And on the points leaderboard, see who reaches the Big Bang first.
You decide who sees you
In your profile you choose, separately, who sees your workouts and records (and whether you're training now) and who sees your numbers (workouts this month and streak). Four options: all of GymOrbita, your followers, only your GymBros or nobody. Your name, photo, gym and rank are always visible. Your weight, age and height are never shared, with anyone. Try it: pick an option.
FAQ
Do I need friends on GymOrbita?
No. The app works just as well training alone; the social side is there whenever you want it. You can start by following people from your gym.
What's the difference between following someone and being GymBros?
Following is one-way: you see their workouts and give kudos. Being GymBros is mutual (one asks, the other accepts): you share routines and get a weekly comparison between the two of you.
Can someone follow me without my say?
Anyone can follow you, but they only see what you allow. If you pick «Only my GymBros» or «Nobody», they won't see your workouts. And you can remove them from your followers without them being told.
Can people see when I'm at the gym?
Only if you let them see your workouts: then your people see the green dot while you train. Otherwise, it doesn't show.
Can kudos be taken back?
Yes, with another tap on the flame. The person who got them won't see them any more.
